Directions to Brooklyn Courthouse

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION

SUBWAYS:
The following NYC subway lines stop in the vicinity of the Courthouse. The 2 and 3 trains stop at Borough Hall and Clark Street. The numbers 4, 5 and the M and R stop at Court Street/Borough hall. The A, C and F trains stop at Jay Street/Borough Hall. The A and C trains also stop a High Street. However, since this is not a very populous station, it is not recommended.

BUSES:
The following lines stop at Borough Hall: B25, B26, B37, B38, B41, B45, B51, B54, B61, B65, B67, B75.

LONG ISLAND RAILROAD:
The Long Island Railroad stops at Flatbush Avenue. At that point it will be necessary to take any of the following lines to Court
Street/Borough Hall: M, R, 2, 3, 4 or 5 or the B41 bus.

STATEN ISLAND FERRY:
Upon leaving the ferry at the terminal in Manhattan, proceed to the center traffic island and take the R train subway line to Court Street/Borough Hall Brooklyn(one stop). It would be helpful to board the subway train using one of the cars toward the rear. When you arrive in Brooklyn, go up the stairs and then up the escalator. Once through the turnstile, use the stairs marked for the Supreme Court Building. Once you come out of the station, you will be in a park in front of the Supreme Court. Keeping the Supreme Court building on your right, walk north past the Post Office and cross Tillary Street. You will find the Federal Courthouse on your right.

BY CAR

FROM STATEN ISLAND:
Proceed over Verrazano Bridge to the Gowanus/Brooklyn Queens Expressway (I-278 East). Take the BQE to the exit for Cadman Plaza West (Exit 28A). Proceed on Cadman Plaza West to the third traffic light (Tillary Street). The Courthouse is on the left, across the park.

FROM SOUTHERN STATE/BELT PARKWAY:
Proceed to the end onto the Gowanus/Brooklyn Queens Expressway (I-278 East). (DO NOT take I-278 over the Verrazano Bridge. Take the BQE to the exit for Cadman Plaza West (Exit 28A). Proceed on Cadman Plaza West to the third traffic light (Tillary Street). The Courthouse is on the left, across the park.

FROM LONG ISLAND EXPRESSWAY (I-495) or NORTHERN STATE/GRAND CENTRAL PARKWAY:
Proceed to the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway (I-278 West). Take the BQE to the exit fro Tillary Street (Exit 29). Proceed up Tillary
Street to the fourth traffic light (Cadman Plaza East). The Courthouse is on the right.

LOCAL PARKING

Brooklyn courthouse has parking available at discounted with the cost being reimbursed. Square Industries, 200 Cadman Plaza West is located across the park from the courthouse. The cost is $8.00 per day with a coupon from jury room. An additional lot is located at 89 Cadman Plaza West. This lot is outdoors and cost $7.00 per day. No coupon is necessary. DO NOT METER PARK. YOU MAY NOT BE ABLE TO LEAVE THE COURTHOUSE TO REPLENISH THE METER AND PARKING TICKETS ARE NOT REIMBURSABLE.
