  • How do I access an ECF case docket sheet online with PACER?

    Go to Court Website - www.nyed.uscourts.gov - Then to Live ECF/PACER Database; Enter PACER login and password; Click on Reports; Click on Docket Sheet - enter case number. To register for a PACER Account: Go to Pacer Website: http://pacer.psc.uscourts.gov OR Call Pacer Service Center - (800)676-6856 or (210)301-6440

  • How do I add a Arbitrator to a Case?

    1. Docket the event ( Selection of Arbitrator)

    2, On the screen, Search for a party screen, then add the party to with the role type of Arbitrator.

    3. Update the party from pro se No to pro se not allowed to electronically file.

    4. Add contact information,  such as office name, address, city, state, zip, phone/ fax and email address.

    5.  Check off Show this address on the docket sheet.

     

  • How do I add a Mediator to a Case?

    1. Docket the event ( Selection of Mediator)

    2, On the screen, Search for a party screen, then add the party to with the role type of Mediator.

    3. Update the party from pro se No to pro se not allowed to electronically file.

    4. Add contact information,  such as office name, address, city, state, zip, phone/ fax and email address.

    5.  Check off Show this address on the docket sheet.

     

  • How do I add additional E-Mail address to an ECF account?

    Send an e-mail request with the email address(s) to be added, the attorney’s name on the account and the attorneys bar code to:support@nyed.uscourts.gov.

  • How do I change the mailing address for an attorney?

     

    To update contact information on ECF:
     

    If the attorney is currently appearing on an active case(s): a Notice of Change(Notice of Change of Address/Firm/Email) must be e-filed in each case. Once the Notice of Change(Notice of Change of Address/Firm/Email) has been filed in each case, the account will be updated with the new information and only applied to those cases.


    If no active cases, attorney should re-register on the website to update their contact information.
  • How do I delete an additional E-Mail address on an ECF account?

    Send an e-mail request with the email address(s) to be deleted, the attorney’s name on the account and the attorneys bar code to:support@nyed.uscourts.gov.

  • How do I file a fully briefed/bundled motion with 100+ attachments?
    Contact docketing section for your case at (718) 613-2610 or (631) 712-6010.

     

  • How do I file a fully briefed/bundled motion?
    Select the motion event, select yourself( the attorney) making the filing. Attach all of the pdfs, add or select all appropriate descriptions for the attachments.
    IE.
    Plaintiffs Affidavit in Opposition
    Defendants Memorandum in Support
     
    Select "Fully Briefed" from the motion pretext dropdown list, then add "on "behalf of all parties" in the docket text window.
     
    Your entry will look something like this...
    Fully Briefed Motion for Summary Judgment filed on behalf of all parties by....(Attorney Name)
    (Attachments: #1 Plaintiffs Affidavit in Opposition, #2 Defendants Memorandum in Support)
     
  • How do I file a sealed answer to a complaint that is not sealed?
    • Docket the Answer to Complaint event attach ( with a redacted pdf(s))
    • Docket the Sealed Answer as (1 - Sealed Docket Entry and Document  - to be used......and Unredacted Document).

  • How do I go about requesting a refund of fees paid electronically on CM/ECF?

    You will need to file on the case a Motion for Refund of Fees Paid Electronically with the court.

  • How do I Prevent Hotmail/Windows Live From Filtering Notices Of Electronic Filing From Your E-Mail Account

    1. Select Contacts from the Hotmail navigation bar.
    2. Follow the Safe List link.
    3. Type "nyed.uscourts.gov" in the Safe List entry field.
    4. Click "Add".
    5. The new entry should now appear on the Safe List
