The parties shall be prepared to address the current status of the recently enacted Legislative Redistricting Plan for the State Senate and Assembly Districts.

Press Release - Patent Pilot Program
Chief Judge Carol Bagley Amon announced today (11/18/2011) that the Judges of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York have appointed a Merit Selection Panel to recommend to the Court for nomination individuals whose character, experience, ability, and commitment to equal justice under the law fully qualify them to serve as a United States Magistrate Judge. Chief Judge Carol Bagley Amon announced today (11/18/2011) that the Judges of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York have appointed a Merit Selection Panel to consider the reappointment of James Orenstein, incumbent U.S. Magistrate Judge in the Eastern District of New York, for a new eight (8) year term after the current term ends on June 15, 2012. The Public Notice and request for comments can be found here.
Administrative Order 2011-14 establishes the Panel and its Charter in these two tasks.
Administrative Order 2012-2 extends the application period until February 17th, 2012 and the selection deadline to March 23, 2012.
