Fordham University School of Law, JD, 1984
I have worked as a labor and employment lawyer since my graduation from law school in 1984. While the focus has been on advising and defending employers in EEO and other employment law matters, I have advised and represented numerous individuals in employment related matters as well. I am fully familiar with all of the Federal, State, City, and other local laws governing the employer-employee relationship, and continue to actively advise clients with respect to compliance with these laws, as well as represent clients in litigating matters that arise in the employment relationship, including trade secret and restrictive covenant issues. My litigation and trial experience includes hearings and trials before state and federal courts, administrative agencies, and in arbitration.
Panel Mediator, SDNY Mediation Program, 1999-Present; Mediation Advisory Committee, SDNY, 2015-2018; Westchester County Supreme Court Commercial Panel Mediator, 2013-Present; American Arbitration Association, Commercial Mediation Panel, 2014-Present; American Arbitration Association, Storm Sandy Mediator, 2013. I have appeared as an advocate on behalf of clients in hundreds of mediation and arbitration hearings.
I have written and spoken on a number of employment law issues. From 2015 to the present, I have been the NYS contributor to the BNA Bloomberg publication titled "Covenants Not to Compete, A Fifty State Survey". In 2018, I was elected to membership as a Fellow in the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers.
