Magistrate Judge William D. Wall
William D. Wall is a United States Magistrate Judge for the Eastern District of New York. At the time of his appointment in 2000, he was a partner with the New York law firm of Farrell Fritz.
Judge Wall earned his A.B. degree from Rutgers University in 1971 and his J.D. degree from Fordham University in 1977.
From 1977 to 1979, Judge Wall served as a Special Assistant New York Attorney General for the Office of the State Prosecutor, in which he investigated and prosecuted corruption within the New York City criminal justice system. From 1979 until his judicial appointment in 2000, he was with the New York law firm of Farrell Fritz, where his practice included the defense of individuals and corporations charged with violations of environmental and other regulatory laws.
Judge Wall is a member of the Board of Directors of Molloy College and the Board of Sponsors of Mercy Medical Center. He is past president of Island Harvest, a not-for-profit distributor of perishable food; and a founding member and past chair of New Beginnings, Inc., an international adoption agency.
