  • If I use e-submission to submit my case, do I also need to file it under attorney case opening?

    No. If you submit your case using e-submission you do not need to file it using attorney case opening or submitting it in paper form. 

  • I sometimes do not see the CAPTCHA box, how can I correct this?

    First delete the browsers content (cookies, cache, etc) and then make sure that javascript is enabled and your are accepting cookies in the browser.

    Tools - Internet Options -  General - Browsing History - Delete - select ( Temporary Internet Files and Cookies), then click on Delete, Press OK. Close all the browser sessions then open the browser.

    Tools - Options - Privacy - Settings - make sure that Cookies, Cache and Browsing History are all selected, press OK, then select Clear history when Firefox closes, Press OK. Close all the browser sessions then open the browser.

    To enable javascript in the browser

    1. From the Tools menu, or the Tools drop-down in the upper right, choose Internet options.
    2. Click the Security tab, and then click Custom Level... . 
    3. Scroll to the "Scripting" section of the list. For "Active Scripting", click Enable. 
    4. Click OK, and confirm if prompted. 
    5. Close and restart your browser

     

    Mozilla 
    1. From the Tools menu, or the Tools drop-down in the upper right, choose options.
    2. Click the Content tab, and then click Enable JavaScript
    3. Click OK, and confirm if prompted.

    When this message displays: "CAPTCHA session reuse attack detected" or you don't see the CAPTCHA box, click Refresh in the browser. 
    When the Security Warning message appears, you must click No. This allows the CAPTCHA box to display - because the CAPTCHA box is not delivered securely through HTTPS. If you click Yes, you will prevent the CAPTCHA box from displaying. 
     

    If this persists, file your documents in hard copy with the clerks office.

     

  • How do I upload multiple summons?

    Open the summons form, select and enter the information, the go to (file - print - select pdf printer), then save the file. Do not use the red (save as) button on the bottom of the fillable form.

    Once all of your summons forms have been saved, now you can merge them in adobe using (Insert Pages - insert from file).

  • I forgot to upload an attachment to the e-submission, how can I include it for filing?

     

    Once you have been notified that the action has been opened, you can file an amended document with the attachment using ECF.
  • Do I need to have acrobat ( full version) in order to fill out and save the fillable pdf forms?

    Yes.

  • How do I clear out temp files, cookies from my browser?

  • I am getting an error message PDOException: SQLSTATE[23000]: Integrity constraint violation: what can I do to correct this?

    The error message is an indication that the filename of your pdf does not meet the filename requirement as outlined in item (3).

    3. Each document submitted must be labeled with the case short title and the document type: E.g. Doe v. XYZ Corp summons; Doe v. XYZ Corp. complaint; Doe v. XYZ Corp civil cover sheet.  

    Error message:

  • Is there an email address that can be used for the e-submission files if I have problems using the e-submission site or if the site is down?

    No, there is no email address. Submissions can either be made via the e-submission form or brought to the clerks office.

    The e-submission of initiating document, while available, is NOT REQUIRED.
    Because e-submission is not required, the inability to e-submit a complaint, petition or notice of removal does not relieve a party or counsel from any filing deadlines
    .

  • There is only one summons option, how do I upload multiple summons?

    If you have multiple summons pdfs, they will need to be combined into one pdf. In your Adobe software, open the first pdf, then.....

    for Version X
    Select (Pages) (Insert from File), then select the file to insert. Once the file has been selected, you will see a pop-up where to place the pdf. Please select (Location-after) and (Page-page). Continue to do this for all of the pdfs, when all pdfs have been combined save the file.

    for Earlier Versions
    Select (Document) (Insert Pages), then select the file to insert. Once the file has been selected, you will see a pop-up where to place the pdf. Please select (Location-after) and (Page-page). Continue to do this for all of the pdfs, when all pdfs have been combined save the file.

  • When uploading the pdfs, should the file name be entered in ALLCAPS?

    No, please use InitialCaps.
