Pursuant to the authority conferred by 28 U.S.C. Sections 631, et seq., and the further authority granted by the Judicial Conference of the United States, the Board of Judges for the Eastern District of New York hereby appoints a Merit Selection Panel to review the applications of candidates for a United States Magistrate Judge vacancy in Central Islip, NY, for an eight (8) year term.
ORDERED that Steven I. Locke is hereby appointed to serve as a full-time United States Magistrate Judge for the Eastern District of New York, at a salary fixed by the Judicial Conference, and shall hold and discharge the duties of the office for a term of eight years from the effective date of this appointment, August 1st, 2014, subject to the provisions of 28 U.S.C. Section 631(I), unless sooner relieved.
