Magistrate Judge Peggy Cross-Goldenberg

Biography

Peggy Cross‑Goldenberg entered duty as a U.S. Magistrate Judge for the Eastern District of New York on January 5, 2026, bringing deep experience in federal criminal defense and legal training. A former Supervising Trial Attorney and Director of Training at the Federal Defenders of New York, she has litigated a wide range of complex federal cases and mentored attorneys across the SDNY and EDNY. She previously clerked for federal judges in both the Southern District of New York and the Ninth Circuit. She holds degrees from Duke University and Columbia Law School.
