Statement of Accessibility:

The Eastern District of New York is committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability. We are actively working to increase the accessibility and usability of our website and in doing so adhere to many of the available standards and guidelines. Thank you for your patience and for your suggestions as we continue to move forward in this direction with features such as closed captioning and tab navigation.

The Eastern District of New York does not discriminate on the basis of religion, age, race, color, national origin, gender, marital or parental status, or disability.

In order to further our commitment to nondiscrimination, we are working to ensure our site conforms to level Double-A World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0. Such guidelines detail best practices for ensuring assistive technology users can access the site. The guidelines also make the site more user friendly for all people.

Should you find information or functionality which is inaccessible, please contact:

Questions/Disability Access & Accommodations Coordinators:

Services to the Hearing Impaired and Others with Communication Disabilities:
Under Judicial Conference policy, the court must provide sign language interpreters or other auxiliary aids and services to participants in federal judicial proceedings who are deaf, hearing impaired, or have other communication disabilities and may provide these services to spectators when the court deems appropriate.

Accommodations for Individuals with Other Disabilities:
The federal courts are not subject to the Americans with Disabilities Act, however, if a person with a disability makes a request for a reasonable accommodation, the Court may consider the request.

Requests for sign language interpreters, other auxiliary aids and services, or other accommodations should be made by completing the online form below and submitting it to the Court’s Access Coordinator. If you cannot use the online form, please print the PDF, complete it, and email it to accommodations@nyed.uscourts.gov or mail it to the Court at this address:
