Professional Training
I have my law degree from Columbia Law School, a Masters Degree in Public Affairs from the Woodrow Wilson School, Princeton University, and my undergraduate degree from Williams College. I am admitted to the bars of New York and New Jersey.
Professional Experience
I have extensive experience in the areas of Commercial Litigation, Mediation, Arbitration, and business related law. Upon graduating from law school, I served as Law Secretary to a highly respected Judge in the New Jersey Superior Court, Essex County, Chancery Division. Thereafter, I became associated with the litigation department of a large Manhattan law firm that practiced principally in the area of antitrust, securities and other high end commercial litigation. Later, I was appointed as an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the District of New Jersey, where I did a wide range of litigation both on the trial and appellate levels. After approximately six years of practice, I established my own firm, and have continued to work in firms bearing my name for more than 25 years. During this period I tried cases in both the State and Federal courts, and have engaged in a broad range of discovery and motion practice in those courts, as well as appeals. I have also participated in Alternative Dispute proceedings, both mediations and arbitrations, conducted through the American Arbitration Association, JAMS, and others.
ADR Experience
Since roughly 2009 I have been involved as a mediator in approximately 60 matters assigned by the NJ Superior Court; 32 matters assigned by the SDNY; 5 matters assigned by the NY County Supreme Court, Commercial Division; 1 Sandy mediation; and a hand full of private mediations. I have also served as an arbitrator in FINRA matters.
