Gail R. Davis, Esq., is an attorney who has worked as Coordinator of Dispute Resolution for New York City Civil Courts for over eight years. In such capacity, she developed and supervised mediation programs; taught, trained and mentored numerous mediators; and mediated over 200 cases involving business, real estate, landlord-tenant, employment and relationship disputes, most of which have resulted in settlements. She had also previously worked for the NYC Civil Court and NYS Supreme Court as a Law Clerk in which capacity she helped the Judges she worked with and helped settle cases. Prior to working for the New York State Court system, she worked as an Assistant District Attorney in New York County under Robert Morgenthau, then as a lawyer and litigator in private practice. Since 1987, she has also worked in real estate management so she brings to the mediation process a substantial background in litigation and real estate. After leaving the NYS Court system in 2008, she has and currently serves as a member of the Mediation/Neutral panels of the United States District Court-Eastern District New York and the New York County Supreme Court Commercial Division. She also serves on the Mediation panel of the United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the NY County Surrogate's Court and as an arbitrator in the Part 137 Attorney-Client Fee Dispute Arbitration Program of the First and Twelfth Districts. Gail is a member of the Surrogate's Court Advisory Panel for NY County, the Executive Committee of the Dispute Resolution Section of the New York State Bar Association where she serves as co-chair of one of its Committees as well as an Editor of their respected publication, the New York Dispute Resolution Lawyer. Previously, she has served with the New York City Bar Association on its Cooperative/Condominium Committee and as a member of the Board of Directors of the Association of Conflict Resolution Greater New York.
