  • How do I add a case to an attorney account for monitoring only?

     

    If a registered attorney wishes to be notified of case activity in a case they are not appearing on, the attorney may send a request with their full name, ecf account login ID, and the case
    number(s)  to: support@nyed.uscourts.gov
  • How do I add a secondary email address to an ecf account?

    Send an e-mail request with the attorney’s name and bar code to: support@nyed.uscourts.gov, along with the email address(s) to be added.

  • How do I change the firm name for an attorney?

     

    To update contact information on ECF:
    If the attorney is currently appearing on an active case(s): a Notice of Change(Notice of Change of Address/Firm/Email) must be e-filed in each case. Once the Notice of Change(Notice of Change of Address/Firm/Email) has been filed in each case, the account will be updated with the new information and only applied to those cases.

    If no active cases, attorney should re-register on the website to update their contact information.

     

  • How do I change the primary email address for an attorney?

     

    To update contact information on ECF:
    If the attorney is currently appearing on an active case(s): a Notice of Change(Notice of Change of Address/Firm/Email) must be e-filed in each case. Once the Notice of Change(Notice of Change of Address/Firm/Email) has been filed in each case, the account will be updated with the new information and only applied to those cases.

    If no active cases, attorney should re-register on the website to update their contact information.

     

  • How do I register for an ECF account?

  • How do I remove a secondary email address from an ecf account?

    Send an e-mail request with the attorney’s name and bar code to: support@nyed.uscourts.gov, along with the email address(s) to be removed.

  • How do I replace a secondary email address from an ecf account?

    Send an e-mail request with the attorney’s name and bar code to: support@nyed.uscourts.gov, along with the email address(s) to be replaced.

  • How do I update an ecf account from summary nef to per filing nef?

    Send an e-mail request with the attorney’s name and bar code to: support@nyed.uscourts.gov.(link sends e-mail)

  • How do I update my contact information on ECF?

  • I forgot my ecf login id and password, how can I retrieve the information?

    Please re-register for an ecf account.

  • I accidently removed my default pacer login from ecf, how do I get it back?

    First log into ecf with your filing account, click Query, check off box (Make this my default PACER login )and then enter the pacer login and password.

  • I am a government attorney trying to file a pro hac vice motion and it is prompting to pay the filing fee. How do I file the motion and not pay the fee.
