A magistrate judge vacancy was created on October 15, 2016. In addition, US Magistrate Judges Steven M. Gold and Lois Bloom are under consideration for upcoming reappointment. This Administrative Order creates an Merit Selection Panel that will present five top candidates to the Board of Judges for the pending vacancy as well as its recommendation as to the reappointment of the two US Mgisitrate Judges.
